
    AWS SDK for .NET V4.0 is now generally available, offering performance improvements, SDK consistency, and requiring updates to handle null collection properties by default.

AWS has announced the general availability of AWS SDK for .NET V4.0, a major update with significant improvements and changes:
</p>
<ul>
<li>Performance improvements and consistency with other AWS SDKs</li>
<li>Collection properties now default to null instead of empty collections</li>
<li>Requires updating all AWSSDK packages to version 4.0.0 or greater</li>
<li>Cannot mix V3 and V4 packages in the same application</li>
<li>Developers should add null checks when working with collection properties</li>
</ul>
<p>
Support for V3 will continue until the new AWS Tools for PowerShell is released, after which V3 will enter a 6-month maintenance mode. AWS encourages developers to update to V4 as soon as possible.
