Amazon Aurora MySQL 3.09 (compatible with MySQL 8.0.40) is now generally available

Amazon has released Aurora MySQL version 3.09, which is compatible with MySQL 8.0.40, bringing several key improvements:
- Enhanced security and bug fixes
- Improved database availability for handling large numbers of tables
- Reduced InnoDB issues with redo logging and index handling
- Performance enhancements for 32xl and larger instances in I/O-Optimized configuration
- Increased cross-region resiliency for Aurora Global Database secondary region clusters
Users can upgrade manually by modifying their DB cluster or enabling auto minor version upgrades. The release is available in all AWS regions supporting Aurora MySQL.
