Amazon Cognito has introduced support for OpenID Connect (OIDC) prompt parameters in Cognito Managed Login, offering enhanced authentication control for developers.
- Adds support for two OIDC prompt values: 'login' and 'none'
- 'Login' prompt enables mandatory re-authentication for sensitive actions
- 'None' prompt allows silent authentication state checks
- Supports passing select_account and consent prompts to third-party OIDC providers
- Available in all AWS Regions for Essentials and Plus tier customers
This feature provides more precise control over authentication flows, improving both security and user experience in applications using Amazon Cognito.
