Amazon DynamoDB has announced the general availability of DynamoDB local on AWS CloudShell, providing developers with a convenient way to develop and test DynamoDB applications directly from the AWS Management Console.

  • DynamoDB local can now be launched using the dynamodb-local alias in CloudShell
  • Developers can test DynamoDB tables without downloading or installing additional software
  • Works with existing DynamoDB API calls without affecting production environments
  • Interact with DynamoDB local using CLI commands with --endpoint-url parameter

This release simplifies DynamoDB application development by providing a browser-based, pre-authenticated shell for local testing and development.
