Amazon ECS has increased the container exit reason message length from 255 to 1024 characters, improving debugging capabilities for container tasks.
- Longer error messages help customers troubleshoot container failures more effectively
- Error messages can be accessed through the "reason" field in the DescribeTasks API response
- Previously truncated error details are now fully visible
- Available in all AWS regions for Fargate Platform 1.4.0 and ECS Agent v1.92.0+
- Accessible via AWS Management Console and DescribeTasks API
