Amazon Q Developer has launched a new cost optimization feature that helps AWS customers reduce their cloud expenses through AI-powered recommendations.
- Provides personalized cost-saving suggestions via natural language conversations
- Helps customers identify opportunities for: • Rightsizing instances • Purchasing Savings Plans and Reserved Instances • Terminating idle resources
- Allows users to ask questions like "How can I lower my AWS bill?"
- Offers detailed explanations about recommendation calculations and resource analysis
- Available in US East (N. Virginia) region, covering most commercial AWS regions
Users can access these recommendations by opening the Amazon Q chat panel in the AWS Management Console and asking about cost optimization strategies.
