News

AWS has expanded ENA Express support to 120 new EC2 instances across various instance types, enhancing network performance through the AWS Scalable Reliable Datagram (SRD) protocol.

  • Added support for 35 network optimized, 6 storage, 7 high-memory, and 5 accelerated computing instances
  • Supports 67 additional compute, general purpose, and memory optimized instances
  • ENA Express improves network performance with higher single flow bandwidth and lower tail latency
  • Uses proprietary SRD protocol with advanced congestion control and multi-pathing
  • Works transparently with TCP and UDP protocols
  • Available in all AWS Commercial and GovCloud (US) Regions at no additional cost

The feature benefits workloads like file systems, media encoding, database transactions, in-memory databases, and file system access to services like FSx Lustre.
