AWS has announced Amazon WorkSpaces Core Managed Instances, a new solution to simplify virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) migrations.
- Leverages EC2 Managed Instances for flexible resource provisioning
- Supports both persistent and non-persistent workloads
- Allows use of existing AWS discounts and Savings Plans
- Provides enhanced infrastructure configuration options
- Compatible with a wide range of instance types, including graphics-accelerated instances
- Available in all AWS Regions that support WorkSpaces
This solution offers organizations greater control and cost optimization for virtual desktop migrations, with simplified management through partner VDI solutions.
