AWS has introduced an updated Well-Architected Framework: IoT Lens, providing comprehensive guidance for designing IoT workloads on AWS.
- Expanded from previous 2019 version with improved best practices across six pillars
- Enhanced security pillar from 8 to 15 best practices
- Added two new scenarios: IoT edge computing and generative AI with IoT
- Included sustainability pillar with five actionable best practices
- Introduced Well-Architected IAC Analyzer to assess Infrastructure as Code templates
- Updated with new AWS IoT product features like MQTT5 and improved edge device security
The IoT Lens aims to help customers build more reliable, secure, and efficient IoT solutions by providing targeted architectural guidance and risk assessment tools.
