Amazon CloudWatch and Application Signals MCP servers for AI-assisted troubleshooting

AWS has announced two new Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers for CloudWatch and Application Signals to enhance AI-assisted troubleshooting:
- CloudWatch MCP server enables AI agents to:
- Perform alarm-based incident response
- Analyze metrics
- Detect log patterns
- Application Signals MCP server allows:
- Service health monitoring via SLOs
- Automated root cause analysis using OpenTelemetry
- Key benefits include:
- Natural language troubleshooting interactions
- Intelligent AI-driven problem diagnosis
- Reduced development time for API integrations
Both servers are available open-source in the AWS Labs MCP repository, supporting troubleshooting across AWS regions.
