AWS Free Tier update: New customers can get started and explore AWS with up to $200 in credits

AWS has updated its Free Tier program, offering new customers up to $200 in credits to explore AWS services:

  • $100 in credits upon initial sign-up
  • Additional $100 in credits can be earned by completing activities in five AWS services
  • Two account options: free account plan and paid account plan
  • Free account plan expires after 6 months or when credits are exhausted
  • Services for credit earning include EC2, RDS, Lambda, Bedrock, and AWS Budgets

Key benefits include no initial charges, email notifications about credit usage, and the ability to explore over 30 AWS services. The program is available globally (except GovCloud and China Regions) and aims to help new users learn and experiment with cloud technologies.
