Amazon SageMaker introduces two new data management capabilities to streamline collaboration and governance:
- Automated Lakehouse Onboarding: Automatically ingests metadata from datasets like Glue Data Catalog tables into SageMaker Catalog
- Eliminates manual IAM permissions configuration and metadata ingestion jobs
- Makes datasets immediately discoverable for analysis and collaboration
- Direct Sharing: Allows data owners to grant access to SageMaker Catalog assets without subscription requests
- Accelerates cross-team project collaboration
These features are now generally available across multiple AWS regions, simplifying data management and governance in SageMaker Unified Studio.
