AWS has announced new customization capabilities for Amazon Nova models in Amazon SageMaker AI, enabling enterprises to adapt AI models to their specific needs across various industries.
- Supports customization techniques including supervised fine-tuning, alignment, continued pre-training, and knowledge distillation
- Offers two fine-tuning approaches: parameter-efficient (PEFT) and full fine-tuning (FFT)
- Provides alignment methods like Direct Preference Optimization (DPO) and Proximal Policy Optimization (PPO)
- Allows deployment on Amazon Bedrock with on-demand and provisioned throughput inference
- Currently available in US East (N. Virginia) region
The feature enables businesses to create more tailored generative AI models that reflect proprietary knowledge and specific workflow requirements.
