Amazon SageMaker HyperPod now supports custom AMIs (Amazon Machine Images)

Amazon SageMaker HyperPod now supports custom Amazon Machine Images (AMIs), allowing customers to deploy AI/ML clusters with pre-configured, security-hardened environments.

• Enables creation of customized environments with specific security and compliance requirements
• Supports embedding security agents, compliance tools, proprietary libraries, and specialized drivers
• Provides faster cluster startup times and improved reliability
• Allows security teams to embed organizational policies directly into base images
• Custom AMIs must be built using HyperPod's public base AMIs

This feature helps organizations accelerate AI/ML training while maintaining enterprise security standards across all cluster nodes.
