AWS Direct Connect announces 100G expansion in Cape Town, South Africa

AWS has expanded its Direct Connect service with 100 Gbps dedicated connections at the Teraco CT1 data center near Cape Town, South Africa.

• Offers MACsec encryption capabilities
• Enables private, physical network connections between AWS and customer infrastructure
• Provides more consistent network experience compared to public internet connections
