Amazon SageMaker Studio now supports trusted identity propagation (TIP), which provides enhanced tracking and access control capabilities for administrators.
- Enables tracing of actions taken in SageMaker Studio back to individual human users
- Supports trusted identity propagation across multiple AWS services including Lake Formation, S3, EMR, Redshift, and Athena
- Allows fine-grained access controls using S3 Access Grants and Lake Formation
- Administrators can track user sessions across Studio applications like JupyterLab and CodeEditor
- Can trace activities such as creating Pipeline steps, training ML models, and deploying inference
The feature is available in most AWS regions where SageMaker Studio with Identity Center support exists, excluding China and GovCloud regions.
