AWS Config has expanded its resource type coverage by adding 10 new resource types, enhancing its ability to discover, assess, audit, and remediate AWS resources.
</p>
<ul>
<li>Newly supported resource types include AWS Backup, CloudFront, EC2, Kafka Connect, OpenSearch Serverless, Redshift, Route 53 Profiles, SSM Incidents, and AWS Transfer services</li>
<li>If recording is enabled for all resource types, AWS Config will automatically track these new additions</li>
<li>The new resource types are available in Config rules and Config aggregators</li>
<li>These resources are supported across all AWS Regions where they are available</li>
</ul>
