AWS Security Incident Response now supports membership coverage for individual AWS organizational units
News
AWS has enhanced its Security Incident Response service by introducing organizational unit (OU) specific membership coverage.
- Previously, memberships covered entire AWS Organizations
- Now users can choose specific OUs for Security Incident Response coverage
- Enables targeted coverage for production workloads or specific business subsidiaries
- Allows pilot testing of the service in a specific OU before broader deployment
- Automatic updates to coverage when accounts are added or removed from selected OUs
The service combines automated monitoring, accelerated communication, and 24/7 access to AWS Customer Incident Response Team (CIRT) to help organizations quickly respond to security events.
