Meeple Srl, a University of Padua spin-off, has launched an open-source Amazon Bedrock AI Plugin for Moodle, enabling educational institutions to integrate generative AI capabilities into their learning management systems.

  • Developed through the Lucrez-IA project at the University of Padua
  • Provides access to foundation models like Anthropic's Claude
  • Offers three core functionalities:
    • Text generation
    • Image generation
    • Text summarization
  • GDPR-compliant and operates within European AWS Regions
  • Enables educators to create materials, summarize content, and enhance learning experiences

The plugin provides a secure, flexible solution for integrating AI into educational environments while maintaining data privacy and institutional control.
