AWS has announced a new Direct Connect location in Barcelona, Spain, located in the Equinix BA1 data center.
- First AWS Direct Connect location in Barcelona
- Third AWS Direct Connect location in Spain
- Provides private network access to all public AWS Regions (except China)
- Offers dedicated 10 Gbps and 100 Gbps connections
- Supports MACsec encryption
The new location enables customers to establish private, physical network connections between AWS and their data centers, potentially providing a more consistent network experience compared to public internet connections.
