AWS has announced new features for Amazon SageMaker Unified Studio, introducing Code Editor and multiple spaces support to enhance machine learning workflow productivity:

  • Code Editor is based on Visual Studio Code Open Source, offering a powerful IDE for ML development
  • Supports thousands of extensions from Open VSX extension gallery
  • Provides fully managed infrastructure with seamless resource scaling
  • Preconfigured with SageMaker Distribution and popular ML frameworks
  • Includes Amazon Q Developer for generative AI code assistance
  • Allows multiple spaces per user, enabling parallel workstream management

The new features aim to help data scientists and developers speed up ML workload delivery by providing a familiar, extensible development environment with advanced debugging and collaboration tools.
