AWS Elemental MediaPackage v2 now supports DVB-DASH and EBU-TT-D standards, enhancing video streaming capabilities for European markets. Key highlights include:
- DVB-DASH support for adaptive streaming, primarily used in European broadcasting
- EBU-TT-D subtitle distribution format for flexible, responsive subtitling
- Ability to configure subtitle options, including IMSC-1 and EBU-TT-D
- Support for CMAF ingest protocol and DVB profile configurations
- New features for base URL configuration, font settings, and error metrics
These additions allow MediaPackage to better serve European markets, ensuring compliance with regional broadcasting standards and improving content delivery across different devices and platforms.
