Streamline hybrid DNS management using Amazon Route 53 Resolver endpoints delegation

Networking & Content Delivery Blog

AWS has announced a new feature for Amazon Route 53 Resolver Endpoints that supports DNS delegation, enabling simplified hybrid DNS management across on-premises and AWS environments.

  • Allows delegation of DNS authority between on-premises and AWS infrastructure without additional DNS servers
  • Supports both inbound (on-premises to AWS) and outbound (AWS to on-premises) DNS delegation
  • Enables organizations to create a unified private DNS namespace across different network environments
  • Reduces operational overhead by eliminating the need for self-managed DNS infrastructure
  • Supports delegation scenarios with parent domains in Route 53 or on-premises

This feature simplifies DNS management for hybrid cloud environments, allowing more flexible and efficient DNS resolution across different organizational domains and network topologies.
