AWS has announced the expansion of Amazon Timestream for InfluxDB, a managed open-source time series database service designed for real-time data-driven insights.
- Launched version 2.7 in March 2024, now available in 19 AWS Regions
- Strategic partnership with InfluxData to support current and future InfluxDB versions
- New features include compute and storage scaling, Multi-AZ read replicas, and 24xlarge instance types
- Customers like KreditBee and NinjaOne are using the service for infrastructure monitoring, IoT, and more
- Developing migration tools for existing Amazon Timestream for LiveAnalytics customers
The service aims to simplify time series data management with easy provisioning, high performance, and scalability for real-time analytics and observability.
