AWS HealthOmics has introduced support for the Nextflow time directive, allowing customers to set task-level timeout controls for their workflows.

  • Enables setting fine-grained timeout controls for specific Nextflow workflow tasks
  • Supports automated run cancellation for tasks exceeding expected duration
  • Available in multiple regions including US East, US West, Europe, Asia Pacific, and Israel
  • Supports healthcare and life sciences customers in managing complex biological data workflows
  • Part of the HIPAA-eligible AWS HealthOmics service

This feature provides researchers with more precise control over workflow execution, helping to optimize computational resources and manage long-running tasks more effectively.
