Simplified Cache Management for Anthropic’s Claude models in Amazon Bedrock
News
Amazon Bedrock has introduced simplified cache management for Anthropic's Claude models, making prompt caching easier for developers.
- Previously complex manual cache point management is now automated
- Developers only need to set a cache breakpoint at the end of a request
- System automatically reads from the longest previously cached prefix
- Cache read tokens are not counted toward token per minute (TPM) quotas
- Supports Claude 3.5 Haiku, Claude 3.7, and Claude 4 models
The update simplifies multi-turn workflows and research assistants, improving performance and cost efficiency for developers using Amazon Bedrock.
