Amazon CloudWatch has expanded its Metrics Insights feature to allow querying metrics data up to two weeks old, enhancing users' ability to analyze and investigate historical performance data.

  • Previously limited to 3 hours of metrics data, users can now query up to 2 weeks of historical metrics
  • SQL-based queries enable flexible data exploration and visualization
  • Helps teams identify trends and investigate impacts long after an event occurs
  • Available in all commercial AWS regions at no additional cost
  • Standard pricing applies for related CloudWatch services like alarms and dashboards

This enhancement improves operational insights by providing extended historical metrics analysis capabilities for AWS users.
