News

Amazon SageMaker Catalog has introduced a new feature called Governed Classification with Restricted Terms, which enhances data governance capabilities.

  • Allows administrators to control which users and projects can apply sensitive glossary terms
  • Enables marking glossary terms as "restricted"
  • Only authorized users or groups can classify data assets with sensitive terms
  • Helps organizations enforce metadata standards and classification consistency
  • Supports defining specific terms like "Seller-MCF" or "PII" with controlled access

The feature is now available in all AWS regions where SageMaker Unified Studio is supported, providing enhanced metadata management and data governance controls.
