Amazon Neptune Database now supports Public Endpoints for simplified development access

News

Amazon Neptune Database has introduced Public Endpoints, a new feature that simplifies database access for developers:

  • Allows direct connection to Neptune databases from outside the VPC
  • Eliminates need for complex networking configurations like VPNs or bastion hosts
  • Maintains security through IAM authentication, VPC security groups, and encryption
  • Compatible with Neptune engine version 1.4.6 and above
  • Can be enabled for new or existing Neptune clusters
  • Available in all AWS Regions at no additional cost

The feature streamlines development access to Neptune databases while preserving robust security measures.
