Amazon S3 Batch Operations has enhanced its management capabilities by allowing users to perform operations on entire buckets, prefixes, or specific object sets in a single step through the AWS Management Console.

  • Users can specify filtering criteria like bucket, prefix, suffix, creation date, or storage class
  • Enables one-time or recurring batch workloads at scale
  • Supports operations like: • Copying objects between buckets • Restoring archived backups • Computing object checksums
  • Automatically processes matching objects and provides a detailed completion report
  • Available in all AWS Regions and accessible via Console, CLI, and SDK

This update simplifies large-scale object management in Amazon S3 by providing more flexible and efficient batch operation capabilities.
