Amazon Nova Act extension: Build and test AI agents within your IDE

News

Amazon has launched the Nova Act extension, a new tool for building and testing AI agents directly within integrated development environments (IDEs).

  • Supports IDEs like Visual Studio Code, Kiro, and Cursor
  • Consolidates agent development workflow into a single user interface
  • Enables natural language-based script creation
  • Provides granular scripting precision
  • Includes robust browser testing capabilities
  • Built on top of the Nova Act SDK, which has been in research preview since March 2025
  • Available now through IDE extension marketplaces

The extension aims to streamline the AI agent development process from ideation to production, reducing the need to switch between multiple tools.
