AWS has released version 1.0.0 of the AWS API Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server, which enables foundation models to interact with AWS APIs using natural language and generate CLI commands.

The server is open-source, available on GitHub, and packaged as a container in Amazon ECR Public Gallery, allowing developers to experiment with natural language AWS API interactions.
