Amazon Route 53 Profiles now supports AWS PrivateLink, enabling customers to manage DNS configurations privately and securely over the Amazon network.
- AWS PrivateLink provides private connectivity between VPCs, AWS services, and on-premises applications
- All Route 53 Profile operations can now be performed via the private Amazon network
- Profiles allow standard DNS configuration across multiple VPCs
- Can include private hosted zone associations, Resolver rules, and DNS Firewall rule groups
- Supports DNSSEC validations, Resolver reverse DNS lookups, and DNS Firewall settings
- Profiles can be shared across AWS accounts using AWS Resource Access Manager
- Available in current Route 53 Profiles regions, including AWS GovCloud (US)
This enhancement improves security and network isolation for managing DNS configurations in AWS.
