Amazon Redshift auto-copy is now available in 4 additional AWS regions
Regional Expansion
Amazon Redshift has expanded its auto-copy feature to four new AWS regions: Asia Pacific (Malaysia), Asia Pacific (Thailand), Mexico (Central), and Asia Pacific (Taipei).
- Auto-copy enables continuous file ingestion from Amazon S3 to Redshift tables
- Eliminates the need for manual COPY commands or custom data pipeline solutions
- Automatically detects and loads new files in specified S3 prefixes
- Auto-copy jobs track previously loaded files to prevent duplicate ingestion
- Users can monitor auto-copy jobs using system tables
This feature simplifies data ingestion for Redshift users by providing an automated, hands-off approach to loading data from S3.
