Amazon S3 has added AWS CloudTrail events for table maintenance operations in S3 Tables, enabling users to track and monitor specific maintenance activities.
- CloudTrail now supports tracking compaction and snapshot expiration operations
- Users can monitor S3 Tables maintenance activities as management events
- To start monitoring, create a trail in AWS CloudTrail console
- Filter for 'AwsServiceEvents' eventType and 'TablesMaintenanceEvent' eventName
- New feature available in all AWS Regions where S3 Tables are supported
