Amazon Cognito has introduced support for resource indicators in OAuth 2.0 authorization flows, enhancing resource protection and access control.
- Allows app clients to specify exact protected resources during access token requests
- Enables precise access token issuance for specific resources like bank records or files
- Replaces previous non-standard methods of specifying resource access
- Available for Cognito Managed Login customers in Essentials and Plus tiers
- Supports standard-based resource parameter specification
This feature simplifies resource protection by allowing more granular and targeted access token generation, improving overall security and access management.
