AWS Backup has introduced a new feature that enables single-action database snapshot copying across AWS Regions and accounts.
- Supports snapshots for Amazon RDS, Aurora, Neptune, and DocumentDB
- Eliminates previous multi-step copying process
- Enables faster recovery point objectives (RPOs)
- Protects against ransomware attacks and Region outages
- Removes need for custom scripts or Lambda function monitoring
Available through AWS Management Console, CLI, and SDKs, this feature simplifies database snapshot management and improves disaster recovery strategies across multiple AWS Regions and accounts.
