Amazon VPC IPAM automates prefix list updates
News
AWS has introduced a new feature for Amazon VPC IP Address Manager (IPAM) that automates prefix list updates using prefix list resolver (PLR).
- Automatically synchronizes prefix lists with IP address ranges from VPCs, subnets, and IPAM pools
- Eliminates manual updates to prefix lists in route tables and security groups
- Reduces operational complexity and potential human error
- Supports all AWS Regions where IPAM is available, including China and GovCloud regions
- Enables network administrators to define custom business rules for prefix list updates
This feature streamlines network management by automatically keeping prefix lists current without manual intervention, improving operational efficiency and accuracy.
