AWS Marketplace now open for India-based sellers supporting transactions in Indian Rupees (INR)

AWS Marketplace has launched a new initiative supporting India-based sellers and buyers with local transactions and simplified tax compliance.

  • India-based sellers can now register and offer paid subscriptions in AWS Marketplace
  • Transactions can be conducted in Indian Rupees (INR) or US dollars (USD)
  • Buyers in India will receive invoices in INR for AWS Marketplace purchases
  • AWS India will handle tax compliance, including Withholding Tax (WHT) and GST-Tax Collected at Source
  • Non-India based sellers can continue selling to Indian buyers through AWS Inc. or authorized distributors

This launch enables easier local transactions, simplifies tax processes, and provides more opportunities for India-based software vendors and channel partners in the AWS Marketplace ecosystem.
