This article announces AWS PrivateLink support for Amazon ECR dual-stack endpoints, enabling secure IPv6 and IPv4 container registry access.
- ECR dual-stack endpoints now support AWS PrivateLink for enhanced security
- Limits network traffic between VPC and ECR to Amazon network only
- Supports both IPv4 and IPv6 requests via single endpoints
- Generally available in all AWS commercial and GovCloud regions
- No additional cost for this feature
This release allows organizations to standardize on IPv6 while maintaining secure, private connectivity to ECR through PrivateLink integration.
