Running NVIDIA Cosmos world foundation models on AWS

HPC Blog

This article explains how to deploy NVIDIA Cosmos world foundation models on AWS to generate synthetic training data for physical AI systems like autonomous vehicles and robots.

  • Cosmos WFMs address physical AI's data scarcity problem through synthetic data generation
  • Three Cosmos models: Predict (video generation), Transfer (physics-aware augmentation), Reason (reasoning VLM)
  • Option 1: NVIDIA NIM microservices on Amazon EKS for real-time, low-latency inference
  • Option 2: Containerized models on AWS Batch for cost-effective, high-throughput batch processing
  • EKS provides enterprise orchestration, high availability, and simplified operations
  • AWS Batch enables dynamic scaling, pay-per-use pricing, and elastic throughput for large datasets

AWS offers two production-ready architectures for deploying Cosmos models, each optimized for different latency, throughput, and cost requirements in physical AI development pipelines.
