This article announces that Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP now supports Amazon S3 Access Points, enabling file data to be accessed as S3 objects while remaining in FSx.
- Attach S3 Access Points to FSx for NetApp ONTAP file systems for S3-compatible access
- File data remains in FSx while accessible to S3-based AI, ML, and analytics services
- Enables use with Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, Glue, and other AWS analytics tools
- Available via AWS Console, CLI, and SDK for new file systems
- Support for existing file systems coming in upcoming maintenance window
- Available in select AWS regions
This capability allows organizations to leverage their FSx for NetApp ONTAP data with AWS AI/ML and analytics services without data migration.
