Amazon ElastiCache Serverless now supports same-slot WATCH command

This article announces that Amazon ElastiCache Serverless now supports the WATCH command for same-slot transactions, enabling more reliable applications with improved data consistency.
- WATCH command makes transactions conditional, executing only when monitored keys remain unchanged
- Works with transactions operating on keys within the same hash slot as watched keys
- CROSSSLOT error returned when watching keys not in the same hash slot
- Developers can use hash tags in key names to ensure keys hash to the same slot
- Available in all AWS regions where ElastiCache Serverless is supported at no additional cost
