This article announces AWS Storage Gateway Terraform modules now support Amazon Linux 2023-based deployments with enhanced security and operational features.
- AL2023-based deployments for all gateway types (S3 File, Tape, Volume)
- IMDSv2 enforcement by default for EC2 deployments
- Protection against credential theft and SSRF attacks
- Prevents unexpected gateway replacements during Terraform operations
- Simplified Active Directory integration with optional domain controller configuration
- Optional Elastic IP address association for private gateway activations
- Supports both Amazon EC2 and VMware environments
The updated Terraform modules improve security, reliability, and operational simplicity for Infrastructure as Code provisioning of Storage Gateway deployments.
