This article announces the release of Research and Engineering Studio (RES) on AWS 2026.03, featuring enhanced administrator controls, expanded filesystem support, and improved session management capabilities.
- Administrators can now onboard multiple FSx for ONTAP volumes as RES filesystems
- DCV token expiration time is now configurable for longer session durations
- Up to three custom links can be added to the RES login page
- Admins can restart VDIs in error state directly from Sessions page
- Users can reset VDI session schedules to system default with one button
- Includes bug fixes and performance improvements
RES 2026.03 enhances administrator flexibility and user experience for cloud-based research and engineering environments across all supported AWS regions.
