This article announces new conditional processing and drop events capabilities for Amazon CloudWatch pipelines, enabling more granular control over log data transformation.
- Conditional processing now available across 21 processors for selective log transformation
- Set "run when" conditions to skip processors or control individual entry actions
- New Drop Events processor filters unwanted logs based on defined conditions
- Reduces log noise and lowers storage costs without additional charges
- Available in all AWS Regions where CloudWatch pipelines is generally available
