This article announces the general availability of Dataset Q&A in Amazon Quick, a conversational analytics capability enabling natural language queries against enterprise data.
- Users can ask natural language questions directly against enterprise datasets
- Powered by Amazon Quick's text-to-SQL agent that generates precise SQL queries
- Works across multiple data sources including Redshift, Athena, Aurora PostgreSQL, and S3
- Respects Row Level and Column Level Security policies set by data owners
- Data owners can add custom instructions, business definitions, and field descriptions
- Includes Explain capability to validate generated SQL and reasoning
- Supports trend analysis, time-series comparisons, ranking, and exploratory queries
- Generally available in all AWS regions where Amazon Quick is available
