This article announces the availability of large and memory-optimized workers for AWS Glue in the Europe (Spain) Region.
- Two general compute workers (G.12X and G.16X) now available in Spain region
- Four memory-optimized workers (R.1X, R.2X, R.4X, R.8X) now available in Spain region
- G-series workers provide additional compute, memory, and storage for resource-intensive workloads
- R-series workers offer double the memory of G counterparts for memory-intensive Spark operations
- Workers selectable via AWS Glue Studio, notebooks, Visual ETL, or Glue Job APIs
AWS Glue now provides enhanced data processing capabilities in the Spain region with new worker types for complex transforms, aggregations, and large-scale data operations.
