This article announces tag propagation support for AWS Lambda Managed Instances, enabling automatic tagging of managed resources.
- Automatically apply tags to EC2 instances, EBS volumes, and ENIs provisioned by capacity providers
- Enforces cost allocation, service control policies, and compliance requirements consistently
- Configure PropagateTags setting on capacity provider using CreateCapacityProvider or UpdateCapacityProvider APIs
- Tags apply to all new managed resources after configuration; available in all AWS commercial regions
- Configurable via AWS Management Console, CLI, CloudFormation, CDK, or SAM
Tag propagation simplifies resource governance by automatically applying consistent tags to all Lambda Managed Instance resources without manual intervention.
