AWS Security Agent announces support for Threat Modeling
News
AWS Security Agent now includes threat modeling, an AI-powered agentic capability that automatically generates threat models for applications using the STRIDE framework.
- Analyzes design documents and source code to identify threats with recommended mitigations
- Understands application architecture, data flows, and trust boundaries automatically
- Integrates with IDEs like Kiro and Claude Code for early design phase threat identification
- Enables security teams to perform pre-deployment assessments against design documents
- Available in all AWS Security Agent regions at no additional cost during public preview
This capability reduces the specialized expertise and manual effort traditionally required for threat modeling by leveraging agentic AI reasoning.
